Check it out, a brand-new Reader Reload graphic. What do you think?
First off, I promised a picture from the wedding I attended last week. The wedding was themed, and I planned to wear my sari. Thing is, I’d never worn a sari before, and though the youtube video looked easy, I had about ten extra yards of fabric that was too long anyway, so I ended up looking like a hobo mummy. Without a Plan B in mind and in danger of being late because I’d been fiddling so long, I threw on a black dress, grabbed the scarf I’d worn the day before (because it was still on my dresser), and pinned it around my waist as a skirt. Jammed on some bangles and a necklace, and flew out the door with Thing2. Barely made it in time. Whew. But the ceremony was beautiful, and Thing2 and I had fun with the photo booth. And I got compliments on my “skirt.” Hah!
On to writerly things. The first draft of Fragments is in the bag. I have moved back to Translucid now for revising, and I expect to get that to beta readers this month. Yay! My mind has really been popping with these characters. They even surprised me with a space battle I hadn’t expected to write. They’re kinda badass that way.
Today Thing2 and I will be headed to our local indie bookseller for Independent Bookseller Day. You can check out the link to see if you have one near you. Our store will be having storytime, children’s theater, and visiting authors. If you have a chance, drop by your own store to show your support and maybe meet a local author.
Here are the newcomers to my TBR this week! (Click a cover for Amazon link.)
