I stayed up late last night reading a book I was really into, only to come to a very unsatisfying ending. I mean, it was a bummer and made me question the “why” of the story even being told. But when I read something that annoys me, I always wonder if maybe all that is a good thing, since the author did manage to make me feel something about his/her book. So I dunno how I really feel about that story at this point. Does that happen to anyone else?
This weekend I’m dog-sitting, which is fun, because it’s been years since I had a dog or took a dog for a walk. It also reminds me of how much more work a dog is than a cat, though, and reinforces my cat-mom status. Although, my foot did get attacked this morning (with claws!) when I was trying to sleep, so having cats isn’t flawless, either.
As for writing stuff, I have completed another revision of Translucid (only one more to go before edits!) and submitted a short story for an anthology. Now I’m moving on to a revision of Fragments. Also, the cover art for Fragments is done, and getting its title treatment. So that will be ready for reveal soon!
Here’s the TBR. Lots of space cover art this week! (Click cover for link.)
