Hi, I’m Zen DiPietro. I’m delighted you’ve come to visit my website, because sharing my love for science fiction, books, authors, and all the fandoms is what I’m all about. It’s my job, it’s my passion, and it’s what wakes me up in the middle of the night with ideas that won’t let me go.
I’m a lifelong bookworm, writer, and a mom of two. Perhaps most importantly, a Browncoat Trekkie Whovian. Also red-haired, left-handed, and a vegetarian geek. Absolutely terrible at conforming. A recovering gamer, but we won’t talk about that. Particular loves include badass heroines, British accents, and the smell of Band-Aids. Being an introvert gets in my way sometimes, as I find it hard to make idle chitchat or stay up past 9 p.m. On the other hand, it makes it easy for me to dive down the rabbit hole of my love for books, stories, movies and games.
I always enjoyed writing, but I didn’t get serious about it until after becoming obsessed with RPGs. Something about roleplaying characters woke up my latent creativity, and started to make my brain start composing words. So I sat in front of the computer screen and started recording them.
As for my books? I’m all about science fiction. My first series was the sci-fantasy Guardians of Terath trilogy. I kind of cut my writing teeth on those books, finding my voice and my style. Dragonfire Station is my current passion. The first three books are complete, along with a book of short stories. Next up is the “Merchant Warfare” subseries of Dragonfire Station. You can check out my work under the “Zen’s Books” tab.

Facebook and Twitter are the best ways to get in touch with me, as I’m very active on both. I don’t like to list an email address because it leads to endless spam.
